Saturday - Day 258 - Downtown Disney

The day after our puke party, John and I, felt like we were hung over.  James, however, was bouncing off the walls, excited to see his Aunt Margaret. Everything is easiest as a kid.

John and I were hanging on by a thread.  We mutually agreed, NO food would be on the agenda other than Crackers and Gatorade!!

We actually survived and had a most enjoyable day with my sister, her boyfriend, Larry, and his two beautiful, talented and intelligent daughters.  It was one of those days, that even though John and I were feeling bad, the company kept us smiling and we were happy to be sharing our time together.

We arrived at the Downtown Disney Yacht Club where my sister and Larry were staying. Although we had a late morning start it was worth the trip.

The boys, gratefully, were well behaved, as we layed by the luxury pool resort.  There was a water slide for James and both of Larry's daughters took him on it. Thank you girls!!!  There was also a faux beach that Ty was loving. Free bucket and pails too.

There were lovely lounge chairs for the adults, exactly what the doctor ordered. It was truly a nice and relaxing afternoon.

We rented a boat to take out around the Disney resorts, it was an easy going, unexpected voyage. The boys did not jump ship and we totally loved it.

We found our way to dinner at T Rex Cafe theme restaurant  in Downtown Disney.

We were all impressed with the food and attractions of life size dinosaurs moving while we ate. It felt like we were back in prehistoric times when dinosaurs roamed the earth.  Ty was a little uncertain, especially when I tried to get him to touch a life-like moving dinosaur.  I'm not sure what he was thinking, but new and wild experiences are good to shake up a toddlers world.

As the day was winding down, I was a little sad to go and not have more time to chat with Larry's daughters. He has managed to raise incredible young women. Considering he is a 'D' dad, he has maintained strong relationships with all four of his, now grown, children.  It truly gives me hope that when our children are all grown up, they too, will want to spend quality time with us, engaging and enjoying time with their dad.

A Great Day.  Looking forward to our next visit when we are a little less green and a lot more lively.

See you in sunny Florida again soon, hurry back!
