Sunday - Day 168 - Prep Day

Tomorrow we would be moving the RV to get some warranty work done on it.
Today would be prep day.

But first we spent an enjoyable and relaxing day at the beach with our friends, Chelley and Greg and their boys.  We had not seem them for a few weeks and it was so great to reconnect.  It was even more fun to see all the boys together again.  Incredibly, the oldest two will start kindergarten next week.  I wondered if we would always find ourselves on the same beach reflecting as they grow older.

However, reality quickly sunk in when we arrived home and it was back to prepping the trailer for her big move.

Considering we have not moved the vehicle since we first moved to our permanent spot in the campground, I wasn't sure how the entire process would flow.  John and I, each took on our roles to get things done, although John had the bulk of the hard work.

I made sure the counters and shelves were cleaned and cleared and nothing was stuffed in a cabinet to make the door fly open on the road.

Awww- clean counter

John worked on moving all our out door stuff onto the picnic table.

 Yard cleared!

He cleared the entire roof of tree branches.  Getting up there was the hard part with no ladder.

Still not sure how he made it up there ;)

John went as far as unhooking the sewer, Internet and cable, but was kind enough to leave me water until the mornng.  He also hitched the camper onto the suburban after running to the storage unit to pick up the hitch.

We had to leave by 7am to get to our 8am appointment which was an hour away.  By the time we were done it all looked good and ready to go.  It took about two hours, which wasn't too bad for our first move and living full time.   We only had a few last minute items in the morning and we'd be off to get her all fixed up, or so we hoped.....
